What remains of the séguinisme
The séguinisme, as the Gaullist, is neither a doctrine, or ideology, still less a religion. It is an attitude, a way of being and thinking in policy. It is a personal story that was for me, and I think at the bottom for many French, a deep meaning intellectual, moral and political.
A State including attitude
At the State, nation, history... Philippe Seguin had two essential references: General de Gaulle and the Republic. What was the bottom, for him, the same thing. The Republican ideal, it does was not only in his thought, in his speech, he also embodied it in his career. This is the meaning of my involvement with Nicolas Sarkozy. If I followed him, it is because he wanted to embody the political voluntarism. In the crisis, he has demonstrated an exceptional voluntarism to the other heads of State and he has trained. Of course, this has not erased the crisis.
